He loves football

SSM's new Title Sports papers are so easy to use my layouts with this line just came together so quickly!  I love both sides of these papers! Since I am such a fan of 'fancy cutting' I naturally had to cut the letters out of this paper and pop dot them on top of the letters on another sheet of the same paper - love the dimension!

It's just about football season here with my son starting football camp next week!  These photos are from a pre-season tournament his team played in last fall.

Cougars vs. Huskies...

Here in Washington State the big football rivalry is between the University of Washington Huskies and the Washington State Cougars.  Being from the west side of the state, we are loyal Husky fans.  Well, we were until one of Austin's baseball tournaments took us across the mountains to Pullman, WA.  Getting a chance to visit and play on the Washington State campus has put a little cougar in all of us.  One night after the ball game, Austin and some of the boys grabbed a football and headed to the BIG field, Martin Stadium, for a game of touch football.

Life is good!

The new Title Sports line is so fun!  It's perfect for scrapping the sports and events they were "intended for,"  but the back sides are great for scrapping just about ANYTHING!!  I used tennis and prom papers to create this layout about the baby robins we found in the yard this spring.  The colors and subtle patterns were perfect for the job!

Dance 2011

The colors in the new Title Sports line are just FAN-tastic!   The vibrancy of the purples in Dance (#1371) perfectly complemented the hip-hop costume my daughter wore for this year's JDTA Dance Recital.  The flowers are made with the back side of both the Dance paper and the Hockey paper (#1375).  I  love how durable these papers were when I wet them and crinkled them to make the flowers.

3 Gold Medals

The new Title Sports line is fantastic!!  I wanted to do a special layout to showcase my son getting 3 Gold Medals in the Big Track Meet of the Year.  He even tied the record in the 100 meter dash.  I love the backs of these new papers too; it makes the possibilities endless.  Here I combined the track paper with the back of the wrestling (stars) and the back of the hockey (stripes).

For the Love of the Game

Life is all about Baseball --- and for 9 weeks every summer that is how we live our lives.  We are either at the ballpark, driving to the ballpark or getting ready for the ballpark.  Non-stop baseball.  Austin wouldn't trade those 9 weeks for anything!

This layout incorporates a few different papers from the new Sports Title line - baseball, golf and gymnastics!

Baseball Rally Caps

The coaches always tell the boys to have fun while playing baseball so I am always thrilled to catch something behind the scenes like I did here.  My son and his teammate had put on their 'rally caps' with the hopes of coming from behind for a win during a tournament in June.

And what made this layout even better is SSM's BRAND NEW "TITLE SPORTS" PAPERS!  On this layout I used the Baseball paper (#1367) and Hockey (#1375).  The strips of stars are from the backside of the Baseball paper!  TOTALLY FUN!

Design Team Call

I just wanted to let all of you know that we are still processing all the Amazing applications we received for the Design Team Call.  It has been hard to narrow it down, let alone only pick one new member.  Due to some vacation time, we may be a little late on the reveal date.  Don't loose hope if you haven't seen an email yet, we are still taking time to review all the entries.

Thank you so much for your interest in our team.

In a Flash!!

It all happens in a flash!  You have a beautiful baby and then BAM!  You are looking at your baby who is now so grown up and you wonder where the time went.  How did this happen seemingly overnight?  I took Colby to the playground the other day while Elizabeth was volunteering at the library.  All of a sudden I looked at him and couldn't believe how big and grown up he looked.  I swear he hadn't looked like that the day before!!

The School is Cool collection is perfect for this layout.  This combination of bold colors and simple patterns are just perfect for scrapping my boy- or any boy!

Products Used:
#1355- Preschool (red)
#1356- Kindergarten (blue)
#1357- First Grade (green)
#1359- Third/Fourth Grade (yellow)

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Be sure to take a minute to hug your kiddos- tomorrow they will be all grown up!

Mix and Match

The thing I love about Scrappin Sports and More paper is that it is so easy to mix and match the collections.  Not only do I love the school line, but there are so many opportunities that the sports line goes with it perfectly!!

Here is a prime example...matching school with dance and marching band papers...and here is what you get...
So what combinations can you come up with?  How about Senior Prom?  A field trip to a petting zoo?  There are so many choices!!

A school year in review...

It's so fun to look back though the years and see how much our kids have changed...especially when they are little.  But this year, my 15 year old shocked me the most.  She went from short hair and glasses to long hair and contacts.  It's crazy how mature she has gotten in just one year of high school!
I think she can quit growing any time now! :)
