Now that school is in full swing as well as all the extra curricular activities, I find myself with less time in my day; which is one of the reasons I Love the new Sports Head On line. I'm sure many of you can relate. I absolutely love the Watersports Paper and wanted to showcase it in this layout. I kept the layout really simple... a couple of pictures, a couple of rub-ons and a few journaling strips was all it took to put this together. So... the next time your short on time, grab some of this paper and start scrappin!

I'm Loving You...
August is a month full of celebrations at our house, especially birthdays. One of those birthday's belongs to by husband, David. We have spent over 25 years together as a couple - more than half my life and I can't imagine anything different. We have been through so much over the years, both good and bad, but the constant is my love for him. Pretty sappy, huh? It's true though -- I love him 24/7, 12 months a year!

Here Fishy, Fishy!
This is one of my favorite photos of my little man. He was about three years old and when my parents lived on a lake, he LOVED to go fishing with his Papa. When I saw the Fishing paper in the new Sports Head On line, I knew just the photo I needed to use it with! I used the back side of the papers for the blue background and then cut the bobbers out for the perfect accent to the page!

It's Feeling Like Fall
As much as I hate to see summer go, I am looking forward to the cooler evenings and beautiful colors of fall in the midwest.
Today I'm sharing a layout using the September Calendars Made Easy paper and September Cardstock Sticker that coordinates with the paper. I was able to snap some pictures of my cousin's grandson not long ago and I love how this paper is a perfect compliment!

Space...the final frontier
Thought I would share a layout from our recent trip to the Wright-Patterson Air Force Museum. I just can't get enough of our CUSTOM papers. And with the new website...you will even have the ability to SEE your designs BEFORE they are printed! Now how cool is THAT???
This was truly a fun and educational trip for us and I even got a chance to use up some of my scraps when making the paper pieced planet on the layout. With a bunch of circles and a little ink...instant embellishment and very little cost!! So the question is...if you were designing a custom paper...what would it be??

4th season
It's not only hard to believe that summer is coming to an end as football pre-season is in full swing and my son's regular season games start September 4th but it's also hard to believe that my son is in his fourth year of tackle football.
Here is my layout titled "4th season". This layout was inspired from Creative Scrappers Sketch #118. Sketches are a great way to get my scrappin' mojo flowing! :)

One More Custom Paper Layout!
One more Custom layout from me and it's a 2-pager! I know, shocking, huh? Two pagers are usually so difficult for me, but working with the custom paper made it so easy!
Just think of what you could do with your own custom paper? I have visions of making end of the season albums for all the coaches! Wouldn't that be a great gift?

Back to School Already!!!
I can't believe that it's "Back to School" time! My kids are so excited, but I can't say I am because, for me, back to school means back to work. I love my job, but summer is SO nice! For my post today, I decided to use the "September Calendar Made Easy" paper to make special cards to put in my kids' backpacks on their first day. On the first card, I also used the September paper and a border punch to make a fun pleated flower!

The Good List
As crafters we know it's never too soon to start planning for the holidays. A few years ago I started making calendars for my parents as part of their Christmas gift. Well, one year I didn't get it done in time and what's the first thing my dad said after opening gifts? Yep, you guessed it "Where's my calendar?" That was the last time I was ever late with it! The Calendars Made Easy line from SS&M is helping me get this year's calendar done with plenty of time to spare. Here's the page for December:

Back to school...
One of the challenges that I face with kids in school is what to do with all their artwork, papers, etc. Sometimes, I scan them, sometimes I take pictures of them...and sometimes, I just use them on the page itself like I did here. Since Scrappin Sports and More came out with this AWESOME calendar line, it makes it easy to do a month by month recount of all the fun activities my kids did while they were in school. Now...if only I could get my kids to cooperate and let me sit next to them in class so I could take better pictures! :)

London In July
Today I'm sharing a page I created from our recent trip to London. We are so fortunate to get to visit our family over there every other year. This year was the kids first trip to London and even though they enjoyed the sites, they were happy not to have to ride the tube after the first 2 days. Who would have thought it would be in the 90's in London!
I used the July calendar page as my main background for this layout. I also used the Game Day Swimming (stripe) and the Mother paper from the Family Line (red).

Scrappin' Sports & More's new "Sports Head On" line is so fun to play with! For today's Layouts, I used the baseball paper and the water paper. The papers are so fun to use as is, or in the case of my baseball page, to cut the baseballs out!

Calendars Made Easy Papers!
These new month themed papers by Scrappin' Sports & More are prefect for monthly recaps or capturing the theme of each month, be sure to check out the Calendars Made Easy Paper & Stickers!
My first layout features Calendars Made Easy - March paper. I LOVE the patterned shamrocks! I cut out a few shamrocks from another sheet of Calendars Made Easy - March paper and pop dotted them onto my background paper.
Journaling: green shirt / green socks / green eyes / green hair / you sure were in the St. Patrick's Day spirit! 2006
My second layout features the Calendars Made Easy - October paper. I used the preprinted 'October' on the paper as my title and added a few die cut pumpkins and photos! Super easy with these great papers!

Shootin' Hoops
On our recent vacation to Arkansas, our cousins had a trampoline with a basketball hoop. This was a crowd favorite for my kids...and when I was taking pictures (because that is just what I do every second of their lives) it suddenly occurred to me how very perfect this new paper would be with this particuliar shot. The Sports Head On Line brings the pattern down the middle...perfect for bringing photos like this to life!! Add some real-life basketball cardstock stickers and pop dots and the page really comes to life!!

Thee is no Season such delight can bring.....
Happy Sunday Everyone :) I hope everyone is having a wonderful start to the week. Hopefully you are getting to spend some time with family or friends or maybe a good book.
Here is a layout that I created using the new Calendar Line and the New Sports Head On Line (blue checked background). This layout featured the August (yellow), October (orange), January (blue) and the April (green) calendar papers. This line is wonderful and you can mix and match across months or in this case across seasons to create wonderful layouts.

More Calendar Fun!
Oh my --- I am in love with the new calendar line! In fact, I couldn't help but create a 201o calendar even though the year is almost over! It was so quick & easy!
Here is a peek at the inside:
In addition, just take a look at these fun cards:
How great would it be to create a whole set - one for every month - to give away as a Christmas gift?
Make sure you get your hands on some of this wonderful paper soon!

New Calendar Lines!
These new Scrappin' Sports & More Calendar line is so fun! The designs on each page (front AND back) are really sweet and the colors are bright and cheery. The front side of each paper includes the name of each month and the back has just the design on it. Since my daughter's birthday is coming right up, I wanted to show you the page I did of her using the August Calendar paper. Aren't those suns just TOO CUTE?!
And, since we are all getting ready to think about that "back to school" business, let me share with you the layout I did using the back of the November Calendar Paper. The fall colors matched the oak leaves that fill my yard every fall PERFECTLY!
Have a great day!

T-Ball Fun
My twin great-nephews are in their 2nd season playing little league T-Ball. During their last game of the season earlier this summer I got to snap a couple of pictures of them. It was so much fun seeing the intensity in their faces and I knew they were having so much fun. They are both such baseball fanatics and want to play catch or hit the ball around in the backyard every free moment. I just love these 2 little guys.
This layout is based on a sketch by Susan Stringfellow (Sketch Savvy). As soon as I saw the sketch, I knew it would be perfect to use with SS&M's newest sports line, Sports Head On!

Sports Head On Papers!
The new Sports Head On line released by Scrappin' Sports & More at CHA just ROCKS my scrappin' world! I love the big patterns and as well as the backside of the papers that have very cool patterns!
In my first layout 'target practice' I cut out the scopes from the Sports Head On - Hunting paper and used the back side camo design ... I am going to us a lot of this camo pattern since my son is totally into anything camo! I also used the back sides of the Sports Head On - Music and Sports Head On - Wrestling papers.
Journaling: You love target shooting with your BB gun. Jan 2010

I had a lot of fun with this second layout 'eXtreme golf' I cut out the golf balls from two sheets of Sports Head On - Golf papers and pop dotted most of them to create an eye catching frame around my photo. The 'X' in eXtreme was cut from the backside of Sports Head On - Golf paper.
Journaling: two boys / an air soft gun / and a golf club / June 2010

Sketchy Inspiration...
Sometimes when the mojo is low a sketch is just what I need to get my going again. With the wonderful world of blogs, there are so many places to choose from. Sketchy Thursdays is a place I go a lot for inspiration and to play along. When the sketch came out for 7/22 with a diagonal line through the middle, I INSTANTLY thought of our new "Sports Head On" line of papers. So this is what I came up with from the sketch...
Now I have the perfect layout idea for some fun pictures of my nephew and son that were recently taken at the lake. These new papers are inspiring by themselves, but add a great sketch and the combination is priceless!!
