Hey there, everyone!
Today's project was inspired by a card design that I saw on Pintrest. What a wonderful place to find inspiration! I used the basic design of the card that I saw and created a wall hanging.
First, I cut the side off of a cardboard box and trimmed it to the size I wanted. Then I dug through my Scrappin' Sports stash to find just the right papers. And, sure enough- I did!! The Preschool and Kindergarten papers from the "School is Cool" collection are the perfect colors for this flag project!

Wardrobe malfunction
Nothing is worse when you are on the swim team than when you lose your goggles. Luckily, this only happened to my son once this season, but when it did, he just kept swimming til he reached the end of the race. Mom, of course, was there with the camera to document!!

Always in our Hearts
My mom wanted something to auction off at the family reunion and I knew the perfect thing to do. I had pinned this wonderful inspiration piece from the Studio Calico blog. My picture was not the best quality as it was taken many years ago and faded. I scanned it in and printed it fairly small, therefore I choose to use an 8 in. by 8 in. frame. I used the side B papers from a couple of the Scrappin' Sports lines and here is the result. The butterflies are brads.

Worth The Wait?? Worth The Wait!!
This week I thoroughly enjoyed playing with the B sides of our new paper line.
I used them on a two-page spread of my sweet grandson and his birthday cupcake.
"Worth the Wait?" was created as my sample for this week's Helmar Live Ustream.
The focus of my Ustream class was simple distress techniques. SS&M are great
papers to distress because the distressing shows the wonderful second side of the paper.
"Worth The Wait!" is the layout I created on Helmar Live Ustream.
Scrappin' Sports & More Supplies:
Sports & Activities
"Worth The Wait?"
Fishing Paper (#1414) - B side: blue dotted paper
Wrestling Paper (#1431) - B side: red chevron paper
"Worth The Wait!"
Teeball Paper (#1427) - B side: teal/green striped paper
I have embedded the Helmar Live Ustream class from Tuesday in
which I create "Worth The Wait!" Hope you enjoy!

2 Great Baseball Layouts by Guest Designer Lana Day!
I am excited to share 2 wonderful baseball layouts created by this months guest designer Lana Day. I love how she cut up the baseball paper to use as her accents. The red white and blue stripes are a perfect backdrop for these pictures.
I love how she cut up the paper on this layout to add some fun movement to the page.

Summertime is Slurpee Time!
I'm sure you'll all agree that there is nothing better on a hot day than a cool drink...and sometimes, a Slurpee just fits the ticket of tasty and cold...mmm...
I had fun layering a bunch of new papers and this whimsical photo my daughter took of herself enjoying her slurpee...I used Summertime, Tennis and Pool papers with a pop of the Gymnastics stars for this bright and colorful look.

Make a Wish!
Despite my best efforts to keep her from growing up, my sweet little girl will turn 10 this week. She keeps reminding me that she's "hitting double digits." There's no going back after this. While I'm excited about the young lady she is becoming, I miss the sweet little girl that she used to be.
So, to honor my girl, I decided to make her a birthday card that is as sweet as she is. Who would have thought that gymnastics paper and prom paper would be just the combination I needed! Scrappin' Sports papers have fantastic "A" sides that have great themes of sports and activites, but the "B" sides are super versatile and wonderful to play with!
Products Used:
#1378- Title Sports: Prom (blue)
#1417- Sports & Activities: Gymnasics (yellow)
And, I even broke out some stamps that I just HAD to have... about three years ago!
Here's to wishing all of the little girls out there (and their mommies who hate to see them grow up) a very, Happy Birthday!

Welcome Guest Designer Lana Day!!
Scrappin' Sports & More is happy to show the work of our newest guest designer Lana Day. But first a few words from Lana :)
Hello! My name is Lana Day and I'm excited to be able to create a few layouts for Scrappin' Sports &More.
I have been scrapping for years. With each year that comes along my scrapbooking style changes. Right now my main focus for scrapbooking is my two boys, they are total posers so I always have lots of pictures of the boys that I can create with.
I guess I would describe my scrapbooking style for them as "Simply and Real". I love lines and circle so I am often drawn to those types of papers but my real passion in paper is to be able to use it as my embellishment. I love to be able to cup up my papers and decorate my scrapbook layouts with it! I hope you enjoy.
If you want to see other cards and layouts I have created, check out my blog www.spiclylady.wordpress.com
Cheers and Scrap On!
And now a layout from Lana using our latest line Sports & Activities. How adorable is this little girl!

Don't be jealous...
Early summer brings recital time to our family...and the new Sports and Activities papers are just perfect for those dance recital photos! I used the Tap papeer and soccer papers to create this layout of my middle daughter during her tap number "Don't be jealous of my boogie". I just love to watch her tap, it is her favorite style of dance and she is SO good at it, too!! Just look at that smile!
I was honestly a little afraid to use a whole sheet of the Sports and Activities paper at first, but I found it really lent itself to layering and made my photos pop!! So don't be afraid to try it...and don't be jealous of her boogie! ;)

Tappin' Good Time
What to do with those annual dance, softball, football, soccer pictures? Do you struggle with making them pop in a cute layout? I know I do! The new "Sports & Activities" papers totally inspired me to move beyond boring with this year's dance photo.
Think color and clean lines....I wanted the color of her costume to stand out on this page so I pulled out the fun red dotted Cheerleading paper and I wanted to follow through the clean look of the photo onto the layout. I think I accomplished both!
Scrappin' Sports & More Papers:
Sports & Activities Line
Ballet/Tap paper (#1408)
Cheerleading paper (#1412)
We would love to see what you do with these new awesome "Sports & Activities" papers. Please do share them with us on the Scrappin' Sports & More Facebook!

Time for a card!
Hey there, everyone!! How about a simple, beautiful card today? This beauty shows the versatility of the Scrappin' Sports Papers! This card used the Prom paper from the Title Sports line. Isn't the blue just gorgeous?!
I simply cut a wave shape with my scissors and attached the blue to my card base. Then, I punched 14 white flowers, layered them together and adhered them to the seam between the card base and the blue, following the shape of the wave. Then, I added some pretty yellow pearls. Finally I added my sentiment and used a pen to put some tiny yellow dots around the sentiment and the top of the card to tie in the yellow from the flowers. Simple. Easy. Beautiful.

100 acre fun!
The new Sports and Activities has some adorable "B" sides...or should I say "bee" sides. While at Disney, we had dinner at the Crystal Palace and met up with all the Winnie the Pooh Characters. When I went to scrap it, I found that the Sports & Activities line had the perfect colors to create this layout...
Who knew that Scrappin Sports & More would be my go-to papers for all my Disney needs?!

Love of the game ...
I love after-the-game photos of my son's sports teams. These were taken at the end of their regular season last year, where they finished with an 8-0 record! Such an exciting time for them!
I absolutely love SSM's new Sports & Activities papers - the brown and green color combo on the football paper is awesome! And who knew I could mix it with red and black! :)

What a Kick!
Ever since I went Christmas shopping last November and saw The Gap with string art signs, I've wanted to incorporate it into my scrapbook page. I started out with a simple L shaped design and used different colors of twine to make the design. Once it was finished, it reminded me of a soccer net, thus the inspiration to make this page. I think it adds some fun dimension to the page. I cannot wait to try another shape in the future!

Water Trampoline
I knew when I saw the new Trampoline paper in the "Sports & Activies" line that I would be using it for a layout of the kiddos at camp. The water trampoline at camp is a favorite activity. It was so easy to get fun action pictures of them using the water trampoline, as they were constantly on it.
I had a little fun with the word "trampoline." If you look closely you will see I highlighted the word by adding a chipboard "t" to the first letter each time trampoline is printed on the paper. The photo below shows up close of this in the title work.

Doesn't this make you want to go play on a water trampoline?
