Just in time for the season to begin!! Now how handing is that?? When I had the opportunity to see the new papers to be released and saw that there were new gymnastics papers, I grabbed my camera and RAN to the gym to catch a few moments of my favorite gymnast!
The best part is, the stripes and the circles on the back go together so nicely and they can be used for almost anything. As a matter of fact, I intend to use my scraps to create a whole different layout. Stay tuned for that post!

Soccer Star...
Luke has decided that he has played his last soccer game and truth be told, it makes me a little sad. Soccer has always been a huge part of our lives and now all the boys are transitioning over to only baseball. As I was looking back through my photos, I found these of his last season and wanted to get them documented.
This layout is a combination of all sorts of Scrappin Sports & More lines - I love how they are all so versatile and work so well together!
Keep watching the blog for some great stuff from the Design Team using the BRAND NEW lines releasing soon!

Pirates {fall} Baseball Team
For the past two years, my son has played both spring and fall baseball; fall baseball is supposed to be less intense and more informal than spring baseball it still doesn't stop me from taking a lot of photos and insisting on a team photo. :)
I left the journaling card blank for my son to add his teammates names, since he likes to do that part and I like having his handwriting in his scrapbooks!
Products used:
Name of the Game - Baseballs paper #1255
The Sport is ... Baseball paper #1337
Cardstock stickers Baseball #5544
Cardstock stickers Baseball Player #5501
Baseball Rub-Ons #636
Thanks for stoppin' by! :)

Cap & Gown
I always find traditional activities such as sports, holidays and graduations a little more difficult to scrap. That is why I just love Scrappin' Sports & More papers. Their papers inspire me design layouts that are theme based, but in my own style.
I designed this Graduation page with a couple different lines of SS&M papers.

National Championship Frame
This fall my friend and colleague coached his men's college soccer team all the way to the Collegiate National Championships! He came to me a short time ago with a photo and the tournament program and asked me for "scrappy advice" to make a frame for his office. After chatting and advising, I collected the materials from him and told him I'd take care of it because I had "just the thing" to do it with. And, of course, Scrappin' Sports soccer papers are what I had in mind!
I wanted to keep the design simple. Coach wanted to include the team roster, the team photo and the logo of the tournament. That didn't leave a lot of room for much else. But, I did go online, got the logo for the school, printed it and added it in.

Just Dance!
In our house it isn't a family event if some kind of game isn't played. Any game from Scattegories, to foozball, to Wii games. It all brings fun and laughter! During a family event recently my neice and sister had quite the competition going while playing Wii "Just Dance 2."
Now, I think both of these dance papers are just perfect for this particular event. Clearly I was pointing out the obvious using them, but they are just so fun & the colors complimented the fun photos.

Merry Christmas!
This is my last post for Scrappin' Sports & More before Christmas, so I wanted to take a moment to wish everyone the happiest of Holidays! I have throughly enjoyed sharing my work with you this year, and I hope that you have enjoyed seeing it.
I found a tutorial online for an origami star and thought it would make a fabulous Christmas ornament. I used 3X3 inch sqares of the Preschool paper from the School is Cool collection and created this fun star. The creases were distressed slightly to give it a vintage, country feel. I added a button with some embroidery thread in the middle and a pretty velvet ribbon as a hanger. I hope you enjoy it!

Thank You Santa!
Our family has been spoiled for over 25 years. Santa Ed has been at every Christmas Eve celebration in our family for so long, in fact, I can't remember him not being there. So many children, grandchildren and now even great-grandchildren have sat in his lap and felt the true love and joy that he has for making children smile. He is a man with a gift, a gift that he freely shares by making over 100 Santa appearances every season. It's a sad day for us this year, as Ed has retired and no longer wears his red coat. We will miss you Santa and we will be forever grateful!

Down & Back
Last year was Lily's first year swimming competitively. She took to it just like a fish in water. The pics in this layout are of Lily doing the backstroke in the Maine YMCA State Meet.
I used both sides of "The Sport Is..." Swimming paper (#1351). The word side of the paper was cut into a wave as a play on the waves in the water. To pull the yellow out of Lily's swim cap, I used the yellow Tennis paper (#1381) of the "Title Sports Line" as accent paper.
Happy Swimming!

Spread some Holiday Cheer!
I played with a super-fun technique today to create a simple, but eye-catching card. And, it's a great design to show off Scrappin' Sports and More's great colors and patterns! I combined four different papers into a herrinbone pattern to create the card background and then just added a simple sentiment sticker and a small embellishment from my stash.
Products Used:
#1380- Title Sports: Softball (red)
#1381- Title Sports: Tennis (yellow)
#1333- Sports Head On: Track (green)
#1248- Game Day: Soccer (black)
Isn't that fun?!?! Now that I have it all figured out, I definitely want to make more of these for every season! We'd love to see your take on this design! If you try it out, share it on our Facebook page so we can shower it with love!!

Athlete in Action!
We had such a great time while Emma was here visiting last fall. The boys couldn't get enough of her and were alwasy fighting for her attention...it's not surprising that they taught her every sport imaginable while she was here. What is surprising is how fast she picked them all up! Just look at that form with the soccer ball - arm back, head down - perfection!
