If your kids are anything like mine, they come home with so many treasures from school every year that I have no idea where to store them all! So we have a fun rule at our house --- you can keep it if it fits in the memory box. Now I'm sure to make their memory boxes fairly small -- usually I recycle an old candy box or something similar.
Now at first, this seems almost impossible because most of their treasures are huge paintings or projects --- but that's what the computer is for! The memory box is perfect to store a flash drive, CD or photos of those treasured projects. My kids have become pros at taking pictures or videos of their items so that those memories will fit in the box! Of course, we also have lego guys, pencils, rocks and other small items in there too!
Here is a quick example of what our memory boxes look like - you will see that I keep them simple and flat to make storing them easy. No use to make them really fancy with lots of dimension -- because that would just get squished over the years! The School is Cool line is perfect --- in fact, I would make multiple boxes at one time so they all match!

Third Grade!
Third grade has been a fantastic year for Elizabeth! She has learned a ton and has had a wonderful time along the way. We are so grateful that she has had her teacher this year! This layout was fun to create because I got to use several of the fun School Is Cool papers AND I used up some of the wallet sized photos that I am usually stuck with. Elizabeth liked that I included some of the things she learned this year in the journaling.
#1357- First Grade (Green)
#1359- Third Grade (Yellow)/Fourth Grade(Purple)
Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Make sure you stop by our page on Facebook and "like" us, then reccommend your scrappy friends to like us too for a chance to win our entire "School is Cool" line of paper and cardstock stickers!!!

The black paper actually says 9th grade, but it's hard to see :) Don't forget to join us in the facebook challenge, so you can win the entire School is Cool line!!

Freshman Year...Where did it go?
I have always heard that once your kids get into high school you barely have time to blink and they are leaving for college. I have to say as fast as Victoria's Freshman year flew by, I believe it! I can't believe we are already in the last week of school, it doesn't seem possbile that it has been 10 months since these pictures were taken. I am thankful that I got to use the new School is Cool line from Scrappin' Sports & More to scrap these special pictures! I love how easy it is to combine grades and even added the custom paper too! If you haven't used this paper yet, we will be having a fun giveaway soon, so stay tuned!!

It's Baseball Season!!
Colby's been waiting 9 months for baseball season to come around again! Even though six of his eight games have been rained out so far, he's still excited and has even been practicing in the garage! Since he has his pictures taken each season, I decided I might as well make a frame to keep them in. The "The sport is..." line makes it easy to make frames for any sport!
I started with a basic wooden frame that I got for $1.00 at a craft store and inked the edges black. Then I covered the frame with the baseball paper. I put the rubons onto some smooth, white cardstock and cut them out. Finally, I inked the edges of some corrugated letters and an acrylic star and attached everything to the frame using glue or foam dots. I think it came out cute!
Products Used:
#1337- The Sport is....Baseball
#636- Baseball Rub-On
If you've made a frame using your Scrappin' Sports & More papers, share them on our Facebook page!

I {heart} Banners!
I love all the cute banners that are showing up on scrapbook pages and as home decor these days! I have wanted to make one for the bottom of our chalkboard for a while now and finally got around to it today! I created mine with the B sides of the Down on the Farm Papers because the colors were perfect for my country style home decor!
Here is a quick tutorial for you!
Step #1 - Cut out various size hearts using your die-cut machine. In addition to cutting the hearts out of paper, cut one set out of chipboard to add some strength to the base heart. I used my Cricut for the hearts and then hand cut the chipboard the size of the largest heart. It works best if you use a odd number of hearts for your banner. I went with five.
Step #2 - Glue your largest heart down to the chipboard heart and add distress ink all around the edges.
Step #3 - Add distress ink to the edges of all the hearts and then lay them out the way you want the banner to be.
Step #4 - Set aside the chipboard heart and line up the remaining hearts one set at a time and then stitch down the center- complete all sets.
Step #5 - Bring thread to back side of heart set, trim and tape down. Then use an adhesive strip to adhere heart set to chipboard heart straight down the center leaving the heart sides free.
Step #6 - Bend heart sides up to add dimension. Use your hole punch to put a hole in each side of the chipboard base at the widest spot. Match up the remaining hearts and mark where you want the holes to go. Punch them all.
Step #7 - Using twine, thread all hearts together running twine down the hole from one side and up the hole on the other side.
Here is my finished product:

Down on the Farm - 4 H

Mickey Golf?
This is one of those times when I scrapped one of the hysterical things my kids said so that we can remember it for years to come. Around the age of three, my son would constantly ask to play "Mickey Golf!" I just figured he was saying it wrong and didn't bother to correct him-- it was kind of cute, after all! So, one day I asked him if he'd like to go play some Mini-Golf. He quickly corrected me: "Girls play Minnie Golf! Boys play Mickey Golf!"
Scrappin' Sports and More has a few different golf papers, and I used two of them to create this layout, along with some fun cardstock stickers that I incorporated into my title!
Here's a close up of the chipboard letters that I put onto the cardstock stickers for the title:

#1311 On the Edge Sports- Golf
