She Loves Polka Dots
For the past couple of years, my youngest has loved everything with polka dots. It doesn't matter what it is...bedding, clothing, lamps, drapes, rugs, purses....she wants it all!!! I wanted to capture this love in a layout for her and the #926 Custom Spirit Dots 2 paper was the perfect choice. I mean it's polka dots, in the colors of my choosing with her name on the paper. It doesn't get any better than that!!

What an Adventure!
The Custom Flourish #1 paper design was an instant favorite and a perfect paper for scrapping a recent trip we made to Universal Studios in Orlando. Being able to use bright fun colors like teal and lime green against the red and black background of this paper really helps convey the fun we had that day at the amusement park.

For all your professional wrestling needs...
Ok...so let me explain...my hubby and I have this deal...he goes to professional wrestling matches and I take pictures. I have to tell you...I have learned to really enjoy scrapping the pictures! It's not your every day pictures to say the least. Actually...the large embellishment on this page was actually part of the sign we brought to the match to hold up!
One of my biggest challenges with scrapping professional wrestling pictures is that not a lot of companies have papers to accomodate my needs. NOT the case with Scrappin Sports and More!! Not ONLY do they care a wide variety of wrestling papers...I can CUSTOMIZE my OWN papers!! How cool is THAT? Yep! They spoil me!!!

So Happy Together
My husband and I recently celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. I can't tell you how exctited I was about being able to design my very own custom paper to help record this milestone event. Not only was I able to incorporate our wedding colors in the paper, but I was also able to include our names on the paper.

Like Father Like Son
In today's layout, I used #906 Custom Spirit Names to create my Chemistry paper. I had already taken pictures of the first time my son used his Chemistry set, so I wanted to use purple as one of my colors to match his gloves. It's not often I get to use purple on a layout about my husband and son. To complement the dark background, I used small white circles and pops of colors from scraps I had left over from prior projects. This layout came together really quickly and could be used for any theme.

A Purr Fect layout & Alex's New Dallas Room
Today, I have two layouts to share with you. The first is celebrating two of the furry little friends we brought into our home last year. I used #908 Custom Diagonal Spirit Names to have both their names printed on the paper. Can I just say how fun that is to have paper totally customized!!!
In the next layout, I wanted to capture my son's support of the Dallas Cowboys. He has had the bedding for over a year, but we finally got around to painting his room Dallas Cowboy grey. I was able to use #922 Custom Stripe 2 in navy blue & grey to create The Cowboys paper.

American Pride
I absolutely love the Scrappin' Sports & More Custom Flourish Paper - this paper is perfect for so many different events and themes! I decided on American Pride because the flourishes reminded me of fireworks.
I enhanced the flourish by tracing it with Stickles. I also used Stickles to outline the clear stars to make them pop with the flourish.

More Custom Goodness!!
These Custom Papers have been so fun to work with! For this paper, I chose some great boy colors and added my son's name for the text. Then, kept the layout clean and simple to accentuate the great lines of the paper. Then, I found a super cute poem online (author was unknown) and it fit perfectly! These Custom Papers defnitely work a look, if you haven't looked already!

1 Paper...2 ways
If you are anything like me, you go have a stack of patterned paper about a mile high. When I get patterned papers, I tend to get at least 2 of each pattern. The cool thing about Scrappin Sports and More's Custom Papers is that not only can you get 2 of each paper, you can get a bunch of each paper and make an entire album with one personalized paper made just specifically for you.
Here, I used one of our customized papers to work on a recent trip to Mexico. How cool is it that I not only get an awesome vacation, but now I have an awesome customized scrapbook!!

Fabulous Custom Papers!
When I heard that I was going to design my own custom papers, I admit that I jumped up and down just a bit! How exciting to be able to choose the perfect color combinations along with the paper and font styles? I went right to work searching through my pictures for just the right ones -- the unique ones that were screaming for unique paper!
Did you know that ordering custom papers is a snap with Scrappin' Sports & More! It was super easy and quick and the end result was fantastic!
Throughout the month, I will be sharing them with you here -- a couple at a time!

I paired it with another Custom Paper, #906 Custom Spirit Names, which I choose to use a blue, yellow & white. The words in yellow say "8th grade class trip" and the white letters say "White House Capitol Mt. Vernon" Just love how you can customize to meet your needs!! Bring on Summer Vacation!!!
Living in the Midwest, summer is special because we don't have warm weather all year 'round. So when we get warm weather...it is swimming pools and parks!! One of the main reasons I fell in love with Scrappin Sports and More is because of their Young and Active line. It's an older line...but a staple in my collection! A perfect collection to document all my favorite park pictures!! If you haven't checked it out...make sure you do!!

Sweet Summertime - Finally!
Here is Washington State, anything over 65 degrees is considered warm & toasty and summer usually starts in May sometime. But, it's been on of "those" years - cold, wet, and dreary and we are already at the end of June!
We are trying to be patient and wait -- wait for the temperatures to warm up so that we can hang out at Grandma's pool. That is our absolute FAVORITE summertime activity. This year we haven't been there even once this year --- but we remember last year!

Here's hoping that we can get back in the pool really quick --- I just love all the laughter and smiles that happen there!

Happy Father's Day!!!
I hope everyone is getting to spend some time with that special Father figure in their life. It's a beautiful day today and we are enjoying just being together as a family.
Today I am sharing my take on the Project 12 May sketch from Scrapbooking and Cards Today. I LOVE how easy it is to get an entire month summerized in 2-pages. The sketch didn't quite have enough room for my photos, so I added a couple more and diveded some of them into two. The result, a 2-page layout, with 9 pictures summerizing my month.

Project 12 and Graduations
It's that time again...May is filled with graduations. This year we had 3. For the past few years we have had at least one every year. It will only be four short years before I will be (sniff) hosting my own daughter's graduation. By then, I should have plenty of practice scrapping the pictures!! This time, I used the sketch from Project 12. It fit the pictures for my niece, Brianna's graduation just perfect. She is a graduate of Shirley High School is the town of Shirley, Arkansas. Go Bri!!!
I used both sides of the Scrappin Sports and More Defining Senior paper for this layout. Both sides are so completely different, but work so well together.

For the "Handy Man"....
My dad is the ultimate "handy man," always puttering and fixing. So, what better Father's Day card than a card that looks like a measuring tape? I made a simple box out of black cardstock and then decorated it with my Scrappin' Sports & More papers. I cut two strips of the Racing Paper (yellow), put them together end to end, marked the "ruler marks" and stamped "lots and lots, and lots, and lots...." on it. It's actually almost two feet long when it's pulled out. I also rolled up some of the Cheering Paper (gray) and attached it to the tape as a little handle to pull on. We will sign the back before giving it to him!

He Loved Farming
My dad loved to farm. He was never able to own his own farm or work his own land, but every spring and fall he could be found in the fields, making round after round in that tractor as he farmed for a dear friend. I remember spending hours riding along with him in the tractor and when my kids were old enough they would do the same. I miss those days. With Father's Day right around the corner thoughts of him are frequently on my mind. When I first spotted the Tractors paper from SS&M's "Down on the Farm" line, I knew it would be perfect for a tribute to my dad and his love of farming.
Supplies include:

Scrapping out of context
Another element to this layout is the quote. I searched high and low for words that would express their relationship. I finally found it in this quote found at http://www.quotegarden.com/ . Instead of adding a title, I enlarged the quote and emphasized a few words to convey the meaning of the layout. No journaling needed.
Another happy accident is the shirt my husband was wearing. The writing on the shirt was camoflauge. I added simliar paper to bring the colors across the layout. How wonderful that Scrappin Sports and More had just the right papers. Who knew a paper with a hunting theme could work so well on a Father's Day layout?

This Man of Mine
Father's Day is right around the corner and I was excited for the chance to showcase my husband in a layout! He is an amazing father and never ceases to amaze me with the things he does - he is an wonderful teacher, a tiehard cheerleader, and a fabulous example for my children. There isn't a day that goes by that I am not thankful he is the father of my children.
I wish him and all the fathers out there a wonderful Father's Day!
